Lombok Airport to Kuta: what to expect
Lombok International Airport (Zainuddin Abdul Madjid, code LOP) sits in Praya, about 20 km north of Kuta. The drive south runs through Praya town, past Sengkol and the Mandalika gateway, and takes 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic and cows. It is a straightforward, sealed road the whole way.
Pickup
Your driver waits outside arrivals with your name on a board. Domestic and international arrivals exit through the same hall. If you need cash there are ATMs and a money changer before the exit doors.
Drop-off anywhere in Kuta
We drop at any address in Kuta, including Mandalika resort area, Gerupuk, Tanjung Aan, Are Guling and the villas up the hill towards Mawun. Tell us the name of the accommodation and we will find it.
Airport taxi vs private transfer
The official airport taxi counter is fine but the queue can be long after big arrivals, prices are per person for the shuttle, and drivers may add waiting time. Grab and Gojek are restricted at the airport gate. A pre-booked private car costs about the same as the counter for two people, and less for three or four.
