Suggested itinerary
Depart Kuta (7 am)
West via Praya and Lembar to Tawun or Sekotong harbour. About 2 hours.
Boat out (9.30 am)
A traditional outrigger boat for the day, IDR 500,000–700,000 per boat including snorkel stops.
Gili Nanggu
The prettiest island: white sand, shallow reef full of fish, a couple of shaded bungalows.
Gili Kedis
A sand island you can walk around in five minutes. Lunch stop on Gili Sudak with grilled fish.
Back to Kuta (5.30 pm)
Via Lembar with a stop for photos over the bay at Batu Layar if the light is good.
About the secret Gilis
South-west Lombok’s Sekotong peninsula is ringed by small islands, “secret” only in comparison with the famous three in the north. Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak, Gili Kedis, Gili Tangkong and Gili Gede are the usual circuit, with snorkelling off Nanggu and Kedis that is better than most of Trawangan’s. There is no nightlife and few facilities, which is the point.

Gili Nanggu, Gili Gede and Gili Asahan have bungalows. We can drop you and collect you another day.
