Kuta to the Gilis: how it works

The Gili Islands sit off Lombok’s north-west coast, two hours from Kuta by car to Bangsal harbour. From Bangsal it is 15 to 40 minutes by boat. We pick you up at 7 to 8 am for a mid-morning boat, or later if you prefer; public boats run until about 4.30 pm and fast boats a little later.

Your options at Bangsal

  • Public boat: IDR 20,000–30,000 per person, leaves when full (usually every 30–60 minutes in the morning).
  • Fast boat: IDR 85,000–150,000, scheduled, 15 minutes.
  • Private charter: IDR 400,000–600,000 per boat, go when you like, direct to your island. Best for groups and late arrivals.

The reverse trip

Gili to Kuta works the same way: tell us your boat and we will be on the jetty at Bangsal. We can also collect from Teluk Nare and Teluk Kodek, where some fast boats dock.

Stop on the way

Add the Senaru waterfalls (2 extra hours), the Malimbu viewpoint, or lunch in Senggigi for a small extra.
