Kuta to Senggigi
The route runs north through Praya, joins the bypass to Mataram, then follows the coast road up from Ampenan. It is a good road the whole way and takes about an hour and a half, a little more in Mataram’s afternoon traffic. We drop anywhere from Batu Layar to Malimbu and Nipah.
Worth a stop
Pura Batu Bolong temple on the rocks south of Senggigi, the Islamic Centre in Mataram, or a late lunch in Senggigi before heading further north.
