Kuta to Senaru
Senaru is a hill village at 600 m on the northern slopes of Rinjani, the finish point of most treks and home to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls. The drive from Kuta goes via Mataram and the west coast (Senggigi, Malimbu, Pemenang) then inland from Anyar. Allow 3.5 hours with a stop for the Gili viewpoint.
Sembalun
The other trailhead, Sembalun, is a similar distance via the east coast or over the Pusuk pass. Same price. See Rinjani transfers.
Combine with the Gilis
Senaru to Bangsal is only an hour, so Kuta → Senaru → Gilis is a natural route.
